As a preparation for the New Year's Eve, Daddy was making oliebollen. As this is a very smelly activity, he was doing it outside in the freezing cold. But as you can see, he was properly dressed for that.

For "dinner" the table was laid with a huge variation of small snacks, you can see the oliebollen, some fasirt, courgettes, slices of meat and a variation of cheese.

Grandma Bep and Peter were both still here and you can see them enjoying the food together with Daddy.
My Mummy liked the particular shapes of the oliebollen and by removing a small particle of the skin of the oliebol, she created a little fish here.

This would be my first experiance in the open air! I was allowed to see how Daddy was preparing the fireworks just after midnight.

Here is he now, kneeling on the street to light a nice rocket.

Luckily, Peter was there to take some nice pictures of this, as you can see one of the rockets shooting in the sky.

After this it exploded into a beautiful shape.

After the fireworks we went back inside and stayed up until the candles were completely burned up. That's all for my first New Year's Eve.
