Turning...an important step in my life

Well, this is my colourful activity playmat where I'm put regularly by my parents. I like it a lot as it has bright colours, different textures, funny graphics and also some interesting sounds. So I can have lots of fun there. And guess who it is from? Yes, Beppie, my Dutch grandma!!!
On the 25th May the following happened to me. I was cutely playing with one of my favourite soft toys lying on my back, then on my side, ...

I wanted the giraffe to lie on his tommy, but he was reluctant to obey me. So I pushed his neck first... and a little bit later he was on his tommy. 'If the giraffe could do it, I might do it soon', I thought.

Then Daddy came to visit me. He had already been working for a while, but as a break he wanted to see me. We played a little bit and after that I asked him to pay attention to me. 'Kiek, Papa! You won't believe your eyes!'

I turned on my side several times thinking of the best way how to continue it...And look what happened. All of a sudden I managed to turn on my tommy. Then I streched my right arm and turned back. (Actually I could turn from my tommy to my back on the 24th May. Daddy made a fantastic movie about it and Willy could also see it.)
I was so happy!!! My parents were very proud of me. 'Ik ben trots op jou, Daniella', they said.

Later that day Mum put me on my back to sleep, but when she came to check me, I was lying on my tommy.

I also realised that I can easily find my thumb and put it in my mouth to comfort me even when I'm on my tommy.
The next day I also found out how to pull my arm from under my body. The pictures speak for themselves.

Well, that's my story of turning from my back to my tommy and back to my back.
