Visiting an animal farm/ Kinder Boerderij in Geleen, Holland

HELLO :-) Are you curious what kind of story I have for you now? Well, get a cup of coffee and a piece of cake and enjoy the latest pictures of my holiday in Holland. Are you ready? Then let´s get it started! Today it´s the 11th of November, 2009. It´s a special day for the Dutch, the start of the Carnaval Season. (11th of the 11th :-)) Well, we made it special for me, too.

In the morning I ate my breakfast--actually, it was my 2nd breakfast after having been breastfed--, then I played a little bit in the living room. Meanwhile Grandma and Mummy could prepare themselves in a relaxed way. You know, I´m always a good girl. :-)
Look how adorable I am!

Then my nappy and my trousers were changed. (During the day I wear my ´crawling´ trousers.)

Some minutes later Grandma told me that we were going to visit an animal farm in the neighbourhood of Berg. I got very curious... I´ve already seen dogs, cats, birds and fish. ´What else can come? And stroking animals??? It must be interesting´, I thought.

I was a bit tired, as I woke up early, so I relaxed in the car.

When we arrived, I was put into my buggy. First I saw some nice horses and wild ducks.

Here we are in the animal farm.

The next animals we saw were the goats. There were various types of them. It´d be difficult for Mummy to say their names in English.

Sometimes I managed to touch the goat. Don´t worry! I was extremely careful.

Hey, goat! Don´t go away, please.

Oh, I enjoyed seeing all these animals. Perhaps once I´ll also have a cute pet. Who knows...

After the goats´ land we continued our walk on the path covered with colourful leaves. We met this musk duck. It was cute. Maybe next year I can chase it. :-)
Then Mummy showed me how to stroke the biggest sheep. Look! She is not afraid at all!!!

Sometimes I wish I could talk already. Now I could only laugh at her. Later Grandma showed me the pot belly pork. It gave some funny noise...

After that I got acquainted with some interesting hens and chickens and also with a rabbit and some beautiful deers.

After that I had some fun again. I was taken out of the pushchair to hide behind the piggy and the goat. It was really funny. :-)

We were very lucky with the weather; although it was cloudy, it didn´t rain.
Then I went to the animals again to say goodbye to them.
I was very satisfied with this excursion. It was a good idea to visit this animal farm.

On the way to the car park we passed the horses, but I wasn´t allowed to touch them. Mummy was afraid of them. All these horses were very nice.
Anyway, I enjoyed this visit to the farm. It was a fantastic experience to see all these cute animals from a short distance. So now when I read, I´ll have an idea how these creatures look like and what sound they can make.
The only thing I regret a little bit is that my Daddy couldn´t enjoy my face and all my reactions to the animals in real life.
Hey Papa! Kusjes en groetjes from Mama en kleine Daniella :-)
