Visiting the Isle of Bled

To be continued... as I promised. :-) So after the Bled Castle we decided to visit the island's church with its 'wish bell'. The best way to get to the island was by boat, so we looked for the best spot which was the sunny 'port' in the picture below. This traditional Bled special boat is called 'Pletna'. It offered an enjoyable 'cruise' to the island for 12 EURO/person. (The price was a surprise...)
First we had lunch; next to the restaurant Kispoepie got to know some birds...

Then we took the boat to the island. We were quite lucky with the weather as it was sunny (on the way there) most of the time. Daniella also enjoyed the cruise, the nice view, the mountains and our company. :-)

Look! She is MY daughter!!!!!
We were getting closer and closer... The sun was shining... we were rocking in the boat fascinated by the breathtaking view... high mountains, pine forests, ski slopes, ...

When we arrived we had half an hour stop on the island to have a look around. So we climbed the stairs... Then we visited the popular church with the wish-bell. Mummy and Daddy also rang it, but their wish is a secret. :-)

I had fun with Grandma.

We had a look at the exhibition, too. These 'dolls' are wearing the Hungarian and the Dutch costumes.

When our time was over, we went to the boat which took us back.
The fresh air and being a good girl for such a long time made me so tired that I fell asleep.
On the shore we found some swans. Here they are. :-)))

Well, actually that was our short, but enjoyable trip in Bled. My parents liked it so much that they said we might return here one day. Perhaps to ski... Who knows...
